I’m a huge fan of lipsticks and more specifically liquid lipsticks. I’ve rummaged through my lipstick collection which consists 90% of NYX, not gonna lie. The reason why is, I’ve found NYX are absolutely killing it when it comes to colours and formulas. And very important, they are not that expensive!
I’ve selected my favourite 4, that I’m going to share with you today, in no particular order.
Soft Matte Lip Cream – Copenhagen
I’m usually a nude kinda gal, but I love lipstick too much to just stick to one colour scheme. That’s why I’ve also got quite the collection of berry coloured lipsticks, and this is one of them.
First of all, the formula of this lipstick is very soft and moisturizing. This makes the application an absolute breeze. It doesn’t feel dry on the lips, but at the same time, it doesn’t feel like a lip balm. This specific lipstick does stain, so beware of that if you’re eating and drinking (and don’t even think about wiping your mouth). The colour payoff, however, is unlike anything else I’ve experienced. And this is not only this formula but nearly all of NYX’s lipsticks. Speaking of colour, this is a beautiful red, slightly burgundy with a pinkish undertone. Perfect for autumn/winter and gloomy days, where you’re in need of a pop of colour.
Lip Lingerie – Exotic
This was the first lip product I ever bought from NYX (well not this exact one, this is probably my 2nd or 3rd bottle). This formula has a more drying effect on the lips, but in return, this lasts incredibly long! I’ve worn this so many times whilst I’ve been out eating and drinking, and it doesn’t seem to rub off. However, because it’s a bit dry, it does tend to crease if your lips aren’t moisturized. The colour is a subtle red, with a hint of coral and I’ve found it very wearable.
Lip Lingerie – Ruffle Trim
This lipstick is the same formula as the previous liquid lipstick. Here you can really tell, that it is a much more drying liquid lipstick than the Soft Matte Lip Cream (or the Liquid Suede which we’ll discuss in a minute). But to be fair, my lips were quite dry here, as I had just spent about 15 minutes rubbing the previous Lip Lingerie off. As I mentioned – they don’t budge.
The shade of this lipstick is paler than Exotic and almost a pinkish nude, which I find is perfect for spring.
Liquid Suede – Soft-spoken
I’ve saved the best for last, as this is my absolute favourite! The consistency of this liquid lipstick is creamy and velvety, much like the first one. It’s also very light and I can honestly not feel it on my lips. The colour though is what I’m most excited about. It’s a dreamy browny nude, that works for any occasion. This also lasts well on the lips, but not as well as the Lip Lingerie though.
I hope you enjoyed reading along and I would love to know your favourite liquid lipstick is in the comments below!
Until next time xxx
